Who and What We Treat
We work with adults (ages 18-64) looking to navigate a wide range of emotional and mental health challenges- see list below.
We offer a more collaborative, unhurried, personalized approach to mental health; one that mindfully weaves traditional western medicine with research-informed holistic, mind-body approaches, all while respecting your values, beliefs and lived experiences.
Dr. Gratton has a special interest in supporting women’s mental health throughout all stages of their reproductive lives.
She also really enjoy working with other physicians and mental health providers seeking mental health support for themselves through medication management, therapy, or both.
We thrive with complex cases and enjoy collaborating with therapists and other healthcare providers.
Condtions that we treat include:
-
Anxiety
Feeling constantly on edge, overwhelmed by worry, or unable to relax can be exhausting. You may notice racing thoughts, a tense body, or disrupted sleep even when there’s no clear reason. If anxiety is making it hard to focus, rest, or feel present in your daily life, you’re not alone, and help is available
-
Depression
Depression involves persistent changes in mood, interest, energy, motivation, cognition, or internal experience that affect daily functioning and emotional well-being. Individuals may experience sadness, reduced pleasure, internal heaviness, difficulty initiating tasks, sleep or appetite changes, slowed thoughts, irritability, or self-criticism.
-
Burnout / Chronic Stress
Chronic stress involves prolonged internal tension, overwhelm, or physiological activation that persists beyond short-term demand. Individuals may experience irritability, sleep disruption, difficulty concentrating, fatigue, emotional reactivity, or internal restlessness.
-
Grief and Adjustment
Grief and adjustment-related symptoms involve emotional, psychological, or behavioral changes following meaningful life stress, loss, transitions, or major role changes.
-
ADHD in Adults
Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) can persist into adulthood and involves challenges with attention, organization, sustained effort, working memory, time management, and emotional regulation. Adults may experience difficulty sustaining focus, staying organized, completing tasks, managing deadlines, or maintaining consistent routines
-
Sleep Disturbance Disorders
Sleep disturbance refers to ongoing problems with falling asleep, staying asleep, or achieving restorative sleep despite adequate time in bed. Because sleep disturbance is a symptom rather than a diagnosis on its own, evaluation focuses on identifying contributing factors and patterns, rather than assuming a single cause.
-
Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD)
Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) involves recurring, intrusive thoughts, images, or urges (obsessions) and repetitive behaviors or mental acts (compulsions) performed to reduce distress or prevent feared outcomes.
-
Trauma / Post Traumatic Stress Disorder
Trauma and stressor-related conditions are how the mind and body have responded to and tried to cope with overwhelming life events, threat, loss, or experiences that were more than you could cope with at the time.
-
Bipolar Disorder
Experiencing significant shifts in mood, energy, or motivation can feel confusing, destabilizing and scary. You may notice periods of increased energy, restlessness, or heightened drive followed by times of low mood, fatigue, or emotional withdrawal
