There are many national resources for the LGBTQ+ community. These organizations provide hotlines, education, legal advocacy, and community support aimed at fostering safety, equity, and mental health for individuals and families across the United States.

  • The Trevor Project: Leading national organization providing 24/7 crisis intervention and suicide prevention for LGBTQ+ youth under 25 via phone (866-488-7386), chat, or text.

  • Trans Lifeline: A peer-support hotline (877-565-8860) run by and for transgender people.

  • LGBT National Help Center: Offers confidential, toll-free hotlines for all ages (888-843-4564) and youth (800-246-7743), including peer-support, local resources, and safe, confidential chat rooms.

  • National Suicide Prevention Lifeline: Call or text 988 to connect with trained counselors (available 24/7, funding via SAMHSA).

  • National Runaway Safeline: 24/7 support for runaway and homeless youth (1-800-RUNAWAY or 1800runaway.org).
